As many of you know, in my other life I am a paralegal. That life took precedence for a while because we were preparing for what was supposed to be a two-week federal trial. Fate stepped in and at the 11th hour, the judge granted the defense a continuance until the end of July. The. End. Of. July! Disappointed doesn’t even begin to express how I felt.
So now all the travel arrangements (flight, hotel, rental car, etc.) have to be moved – which isn’t easy when you have a legal team of 4 lawyers and 3 paralegals. And now we get to do it all over again.
So I’ll be back to blogging here and there until we leave for the trial again. Then I’ll be pretty much off-the-grid for a couple of weeks.
I’ll try to get some of my series updated (Genealogy Do-Over, etc.) and maybe I can even get some posts written ahead of time so you won’t even be able to tell that I’m gone … but don’t hold your breath on that 🙂 I also have to find a new theme for my blog since the old one decided it wasn’t compatible with the updated WordPress or something and all my images disappeared.
I’m looking forward to getting my mundane, predictable life back after this trial.Do we share ancestors? Email me: lostancestors AT gmail DOT com
