With the National Genealogical Society conference in Richmond only days away, things are getting pretty busy around my house. I (one generation) am making plans to collect my daughter (another generation) so we can drive up to stay with my mom (still another generation) in Richmond. All three of us will be attending the conference together this year! Seriously, there should be an award for that or something, right?
As genealogists, you all know what a momentous occasion this is. Does this mean the end of the classic “eye roll”? Do I no longer have to bear the burden of paying for copies of documents by myself? Will I finally have help convincing family members to take DNA tests? We shall see.
If that wasn’t enough excitement, I’m also in charge of Blogger Bead distribution! Geneabloggers has graciously donated the lovely beads for this conference. Unfortunately, Thomas MacEntee cannot attend, so I will be handing out the beads at the Blogger Dinner hosted by FamilySearch on Tuesday night (which I enjoy because I get to meet all the bloggers in person!)
So now I’m off to review the session schedule again and make some more tough decisions, maybe pack a few things, and polish my tiara.
