SEARCH FOR MISSING CARNIVAL EMPLOYEE
TYNDALL (Special) – A search is being made by authorities in this vicinity for Glen Thomas, who is alleged to have stolen a car at Tripp and disappeared. Thomas, an employee of a carnival company working at Scotland this week, was in a head-on collision with a car driven by Marvin Kessler, of Woonsocket, six miles south of Tripp early Thursday evening. Mr. Kessler and his wife and two children were returning home from Missouri. Their car was badly damaged and all were bruised and cut.
Clifford Neckerson, Sioux Falls picked Thomas up on the highway after the accident and took him to Tripp. It is believed he stole a Plymouth coupe parked on the street which was last seen driving north.
I purchased roughly 25 original issues of the Yankton (South Dakota) Press & Dakotan, dating from 1938 to 1946. I am systematically going through every issue and will be posting the articles that include the names of individuals. I am happy to email full-size scans of any article. Feel free to ask.
